Step into Christmas at The Dome Restaurant & Bar as we welcome our very own Christmas Market on Sunday 22nd November 2026.
From 5pm, The Dome will be filled with a wonderful selection of local independent businesses, showcasing everything from handmade gifts and festive decorations to sweet treats, local produce, wellbeing products and plenty of unique Christmas finds.
Best of all, it’s completely FREE to come along and walk around! No tickets, no entry fee – simply pop in, browse the stalls and soak up the festive atmosphere.
This Christmas, we’re encouraging everyone to buy local, shop small and support independent businesses. It’s the perfect opportunity to find thoughtful gifts while supporting some of the brilliant businesses right here on our doorstep.

Kick off the festive season with a magical evening in Helmsley as the town comes together for its annual Christmas Lights Switch-On.
Join the festivities on Friday 27th November 2026, with Santa arriving from 4:30pm, alongside Christmas carols and live music from the band to get everyone into the festive spirit.
At 5:30pm, Helmsley’s Christmas lights will officially be switched on by the Town Crier, illuminating the town for the festive season.
A lovely addition to a winter stay at Yorkshire Spa Retreat, wrap up warm, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a wonderfully festive evening in one of North Yorkshire’s prettiest market towns.

Christmas Lights Switch-On at 5:30pm
Get into the festive spirit and join us for a magical evening of Christmas Carols at The Dome Restaurant & Bar.
Starting from 6:30pm, enjoy the sounds of Christmas as a local mixed wind band performs a beautiful selection of festive favourites, filling The Dome with music and Christmas cheer.
Gather your friends and family, enjoy a festive drink and join us for an evening that’s all about Christmas, community and supporting an incredible cause.
Proceeds from the evening will be donated to Candlelighters, helping to support children and families affected by childhood cancer across Yorkshire.

Come along, sing your favourite carols and help us raise as much as we can for Candlelighters this Christmas.
Before the presents are opened and the Christmas Day festivities begin, put your knowledge to the test with a fun-filled festive quiz – all while raising money for an incredible cause.
Entry is £12 per person and includes a delicious grazing board to enjoy during the quiz, with proceeds from the evening donated to Candlelighters Children’s Cancer Charity, helping to support children with cancer and their families across Yorkshire.
